Hello! My name is Kirsten, I am a Quinnipiac University graduate with a bachelors degree in media studies, and a (soon to be) Iona College graduate, pursing a masters degree in public relations.

I chose media studies because it allowed me to experience every aspect of the communications field during my four years at Quinnipiac. I learned how to: write for a newspaper, write a press release, effectively use social media, write a script, film, edit, speak in front of a crowd, and the different ways to properly and thoroughly conduct research. But, after graduation I knew that I wanted to specialize in one specific aspect in the communications field, and I knew that I wanted it to be PR.

I chose PR because I knew it would allow me to use my creativity and ability to think outside of the box while also putting my writing skills and passion for different types of media to good use. My time at Iona has shown me how I can put all of these skills together to achieve effective brand management in a professional setting.

I am also a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. I had the honor of joining this organization in 2012, and had the opportunity to serve as vice-president of my chapter, which also gave me the opportunity to chair all recruitment strategies for bringing in new members.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading (my favorite book is A Thousand Splendid Suns), eating tons of Thai food, and spending time with family and friends!
